Kurdistanî Language Exchange Program

In order to celebrate the linguistic diversity of Kurdistan, we are bringing back the Kurdistanî Language Exchange Program to foster a safe space to allow the exchange of languages from and beyond Kurdistan. Our aim is to platform dialogue between communities and support language learning. Join us in the monthly sessions to be held at the University of Toronto’s St. George campus for peaceful conversations and meet speakers of Kurdish varieties.

This project is a result of the partnership between (The) Kurdistani Students’ Association of the University of Toronto, Kurdish Cultural Association at York, and Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations Undergraduate Students’ Union. This event series is open to the public and requires no monetary contribution, affiliation, or registration for participation.

Art Out on the Islands

KSA-UofT: Art Out on the Islands

Art Out on the Islands will act as a field trip to Mnisiing (Toronto Islands) on June 29th, Monday for the expression of multi-disciplinary arts—be it auditory, visual, or performing—and further foster an opportunity for the community to connect. The participants are encouraged to bring their desired art supplies, musical instruments, food, and beverages to enjoy once we settle for a picnic on the island grounds. The commute will rely on ferry service departing from the initial meeting ground, Jack Layton Ferry Terminal on the date of the event. Please, arrive at the terminal by 1 PM.

Round-trip ferry tickets cost between $4.51 and $9.57, depending on the age of the passenger. Purchases can be made either online or in person through the service provider.
